Kitchen and Living, Tea Tree Gully
Project Brief
Mark and Lisa live in their Tea Tree Gully home and absolutely love the location. They are right at the foot of the hills with views of a beautiful tree plantation out the front and share their home with their dog Luna who is an integral part of the family. Taking Luna on regular walks in the nearby parks and forest has created a lifestyle they love which further cements their love for their home
Mark and Lisa loved where they lived but wanted to live better, they just weren’t sure how to do it. After speaking to a few different builders and receiving some different iterations of design and a lot of varying advice, they were left feeling confused and like they were never going to get their dream home.
Then they found us! We had an in depth conversation about their journey up until that moment where they told us what they were looking for and sent through their current plans that they were pretty happy with. After meeting on-site and putting their project through our unique process of quoting, we provided a price which was unfortunately over their budget. Although frustrating, we presented some options moving forward and had an open discussion about their budget.
We found that their price point was better suited for an internal renovation because extending the home was just stretching it too far. Once we had reached this conclusion, Mark and Lisa were able to focus on what they now knew was an affordable project. They put the time in with the designers and came up with an amazing kitchen design where they were able to include their wine storage and double glazed windows.
During the project we encountered some difficulties as it was right in the thick of COVID. We were experiencing delays due to isolation requirements and sickness from our subcontractors. We communicated these issues as soon as we knew, updated the schedule on our online system which Mark and Lisa had 24/7 access to, and did the best we could in a bad situation.
Now that the project has been handed over, life in Tea Tree Gully has never been so good. Mark and Lisa have beautiful views of the forest, a new living space filled with natural light from the new skylights and a brand new kitchen that uniquely reflects their personalities.
With a new open plan layout and additional storage, Mark and Lisa now enjoy the natural warmth of their new combustion heater in the comfort of their newly renovated space.
