Project Brief
Ben and Michelle live with their two daughters and adorable Spoodle, Hugo, in a beautiful Norwood villa. Michelle is a lover of baking and the family thoroughly enjoys entertaining. After 20 years spent in their home it became clear that their kitchen wasn’t functional for their family and lifestyle – it was time for an upgrade!
The biggest issue was that they were running out of space which was becoming increasingly obvious with two teenagers in the house. Cupboards were overflowing and space was becoming limited, especially when having guests over. Both the kitchen and laundry were not functioning how they wanted them to, so renovating both rooms meant they could continue living in a home and area they loved whilst accommodating their family & entertaining needs.
Ben and Michelle began their renovation process by working with Tania, the principal designer at TK Design. When the time came to find a builder, ZJ Building was highly recommended. “As soon as we met Zak I felt really comfortable with him taking care of the job. Very organised, very professional, very reassuring.” Michelle said.
Since it was the kitchen and laundry being renovated, there was a concern for how long the project would take, and how long they would need to go without these staple rooms in their house.
